We were appointed by a Devon-based stove manufacturer to assign their lease over 14 Oaktree Place at Matford Business Park in Exeter, where they had offices and showrooms.
We received interest in a purchase of the property and brokered a complex deal whereby the tenant exited their liabilities by means of a surrender in conjunction with the sale of their landlord’s long leasehold interest. The tenant thereby terminated their liabilities including a rent of £35,000 per annum, business rates and dilapidations.
The purchaser was a national retailer of stone products.
