A trio of brave Stratton Creber Commercial (SCC) employees raised more than £1,500 in a unique charity challenge from the rooftop of the South West’s largest hospital.
Jody Brownhill, Emma Greaves and Sarah Morley from the firm’s Plymouth office took part in an abseil from the main Derriford Hospital building.
Jody says: “It was cold wet and windy, but we had plenty of support which helped spur us all on.
“I loved it though almost wanted it to go on longer!! The hardest part was standing on the edge of the roof and leaning back but after that it was plain sailing.”
Office Manager Jody, Management Surveyor Emma and Accounts Assistant Sarah raised the funds for SCC’s nominated charity, Derriford’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Overall, last month’s Plymouth Hospitals Charity Derriford Abseil raised more than £23,000 for the hospital.
