Stratton Creber Commercial have just let the former Ticket Office at Topsham railway station in Exeter.
The building, which fronts Holman Way and backs directly onto the railway platform, is a 19th Century former ticket office of 577 sq.ft, and was purchased by the current owner at auction earlier in the year. Following works to separate the unit from the adjoining Station House and modernise the interiors, the Ticket Office has been let to a company which makes and distributes woollen garments and accessories.
Jonathan Ling, of Stratton Creber Commercial, comments: “As is to be expected of such a distinctive and unusual property, we experienced very high levels of enquiries from commercial occupiers in various sectors. With planning applications in Exeter currently taking longer than usual, our client was not keen to let the property to occupiers who would have required a change of use from the Ticket Office’s current B1 office category. However, the marketing of this property highlights the demand for small, characterful commercial properties which would be suitable for various uses including medical, leisure and therapy, as well as as studios for design agencies, architects and digital media companies.”
