Lockdown deals abound in industrial sector

The Exeter office of Stratton Creber Commercial reports a busy few weeks in the industrial market.

Director Andrew Hosking states: “Since the end of March, we have put four industrial units under offer in Exeter, totalling 15,250 square feet – three of which were put to the market after lockdown commenced, which is a sign of the demand for such units and their marketability despite the recent restrictions.

“Also since the end of March, we have completed two industrial lettings on the Mid Devon Business Park at Willand, totalling 4,180 square feet.

We are also under offer on 11,000 sq ft at Exeter Airport are in advanced negotiations to acquire a 27,000 sq ft freehold warehouse on behalf of a retained client. The industrial sector continues to be very resilient despite the Covid-19 crisis, with demand outstripping supply. We are all doing our utmost to get the economy moving again.”
