Liskeard Town Council keep being told “we need more employment space and a new livestock market” by local businesses, farmers and residents to safeguard the future of Liskeard.

In response to this Stratton Creber Commercial have been appointed to prepare a demand study. This will investigate whether more office and industrial development can be supported and whether a collection centre and/ or livestock market needs to be built to support the local agricultural sector which East Cornwall relies on so heavily.

We have recently issued two surveys: one to the mainstream business sector and the other to farmers and agricultural practices. The surveys will help inform the demand study and any parties with an interest are asked to complete them. Links to the surveys can be found below:
